Frequently asked questions

Can the solutions be mixed together?

In the classic Balling method the three solutions are dosed separately, as they can precipitate when mixed. There is also an all-in-one version as a single solution.

What are trace elements A, B and C for?

They replace trace elements corals use that the main solutions do not contain. Dose them as the maker instructs.

Stony corals build their skeletons from dissolved calcium and carbonates and also consume magnesium. As the corals grow, these values drop every day and water changes alone are no longer enough. The Balling method returns the consumed elements with three separate solutions, while trace element solutions cover the rest.

The range includes ready-made solutions individually and as a set, a three-in-one solution, salts for mixing your own solutions, trace elements and supplements for correcting individual parameters. For calcium reactor users there is also reactor media.

Mix solutions with reverse osmosis water and keep the bottles closed. Measure KH at the same time of day, because it fluctuates during the day. If one value rises while another falls, do not change every dose at once: adjust one solution and wait a couple of days before making the next change.
