Aquaforest KalkMedia Calcium Reactor Media 5 kg

Aquaforest KalkMedia is a ready-to-use calcium reactor media that releases calcium and carbonates into the water of a marine aquarium.

The media is designed for marine aquariums and, according to the manufacturer, works in any type of calcium reactor. According to the manufacturer, it helps maintain calcium levels, water hardness and alkalinity for corals and other marine organisms.

The granules measure 5–12 mm, which according to the manufacturer ensures smooth water flow and keeps the reactor from clogging even under heavy operation. Besides calcium and carbonates, KalkMedia contains trace elements. According to the manufacturer, regular use helps keep pH and water hardness stable.

Rinse the media in RO water before use and fill the reactor following its manufacturer's instructions. Check that the tubing is correctly connected and secured, and monitor the CO₂ level. The manufacturer recommends keeping the reactor pH between 6.2 and 6.5.
