Aquaforest Component A Strontium and Barium Supplement

Aquaforest Component A is a marine aquarium supplement for correcting minor deficiencies of strontium and barium.

It is intended for marine reef aquariums, including systems run with the Balling method.

The ratio of strontium to barium is the same as in natural seawater. Protein skimmers and filters remove trace elements from the water of a closed system. According to the manufacturer, strontium supports coral skeleton formation and calcium uptake, and the low risk of overdosing makes the supplement suitable for beginners too.

The manufacturer recommends 5 ml per 100 l once a week in a mixed reef, or 1 ml for every 20 ppm of calcium consumption per 100 l of water. With the Balling method, add 20 ml per 1 l of Calcium solution. Keep a 5-minute interval between doses of Components A, B and C and store them separately.

Available in a 2 l bottle and a 2 × 250 ml set.
