Aquaforest Mg Plus Magnesium Supplement (New Formula)

Aquaforest Mg Plus is a concentrated magnesium supplement for correcting magnesium shortages and sudden drops.

It is intended for marine aquariums and corals. According to the manufacturer, the right magnesium level helps corals absorb calcium, while a reduced level can make it hard to maintain calcium and can lower the pH.

According to the manufacturer, 10 ml of Mg Plus raises the magnesium level by 10 mg/l (ppm) in 100 l of water. The recommended magnesium level in reef aquariums is 1180–1460 mg/l.

Test the magnesium level in the water before dosing. The manufacturer recommends not raising magnesium by more than 100 ppm a day. The maximum daily dose is 100 ml per 100 l of water; split a larger dose over several days. Bring magnesium into the recommended range before adjusting calcium and alkalinity.
