Aquaforest Life Bio Fil is a natural biological filter medium with an already settled bacteria population. According to the manufacturer, carefully selected bacterial strains initiate and support nitrification and accelerate the maturation of the aquarium. The medium is intended for newly established tanks, but according to the manufacturer it also increases filtration efficiency in older, already running aquariums.
As the bacteria are already present in the medium, nitrification starts almost immediately according to the manufacturer, with no need to wait for the medium to be colonised. Choose the pack size according to your aquarium volume.
Place the medium in the sump where there is good water flow. The manufacturer recommends using 1000 ml of medium for a 400 l aquarium and replacing 10–20 % of the filling every 6 weeks.
Available in 250 ml, 1200 ml and 5000 ml packs.
