  • Because of their size, the manufacturer especially recommends them for large external filters and sumps.
Full description

AquaEL NanoMax Bio is a biological filter medium: spheres of about 30 mm made of sintered ceramic microparticles. One litre offers about 2000 m² of filter surface – according to the manufacturer, the largest of AquaEL's biological media.

The dense structure is a good home for both nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, which remove harmful substances from the water. The spheres are very durable and suit fresh and salt water. Because of their size, the manufacturer especially recommends them for large external filters and sumps. One litre weighs 0.85 kg.

To clean them, rinse the spheres in water taken from the aquarium. The manufacturer recommends replacing about 50% of the medium every 4–6 months.

The pack contains 1 l of spheres.
