AquaEL CarboMAX Plus 1L

AquaEL CarboMAX Plus is a chemical filter medium made of high-quality activated carbon. The carbon binds substances dissolved in the water – it neutralises heavy metal ions and the chlorine in tap water, takes up residues of medicines and other treatments, and removes discolouration caused, for example, by wood.

The granules are dust-free. The manufacturer recommends CarboMAX Plus for a new aquarium to improve water clarity, for discoloured water and after treating fish. It suits external and overflow filters, internal filters with a chamber for loose media (e.g. Turbo Filter) and sumps.

The medium is ready to use and needs no rinsing. Place it in the filter after the mechanical and biological filtration. According to the manufacturer, one 0.5 l bag is for a 150 l aquarium. The carbon gradually becomes saturated, so replace it at least every 4 weeks.

The pack contains 1 l of medium in two 0.5 l bags.
