A lawn effect (4–7 cm) is only achieved at high light; it can also be used in garden ponds and tolerates low salt levels in brackish aquariums. On Tropica's difficulty scale it is an easy plant (Easy).

Plant small clumps (about 1/8 of a pot) a few centimetres apart so they grow together faster. Place it in an open spot without shade from other plants.

Available in a pot, in a pot in a blister pack and in a 1-2 Grow cup.
