Juwel Bioflow Filter

The Juwel Bioflow is the internal filter of Juwel aquariums. It works on the principle "the water stays in the aquarium": there are no hose connections, so nothing can leak. We stock sizes S, M, L and XL.

According to the manufacturer, the Bioflow M is 15.5 × 10.2 × 41.7 cm with 3.5 l of filter volume and an Eccoflow 600 pump (Rio 125/180/240, Lido 120); the L is 20 × 13.2 × 53.2 cm, 8 l, Eccoflow 1000 (Rio 350); the XL is 22.5 × 15.5 × 53.2 cm, 11 l, Eccoflow 1000 (Rio 450). The bipolar flow is faster at the top for mechanical and chemical filtration and slower at the bottom for biological filtration.

The media sit in baskets that are easy to lift out, and the pump and heater are easy to reach. The manufacturer recommends replacing the white pad weekly, but never all blue sponges at once. Run-in takes 6–8 weeks.

The filter comes with an Eccoflow pump and five filter media – pad, carbon sponge, Nitrax, coarse and fine sponge.
