Juwel Carbax - Active Charcoal

Juwel Carbax is granulated activated carbon based on hard coal, for Juwel Bioflow filters. Unlike ordinary carbon, the whole grain is activated, not just its surface, so according to the manufacturer Carbax binds discolouration, odours and toxic substances particularly quickly and for a long time. The manufacturer also mentions removing medication residues; it suits fresh and salt water.

The manufacturer recommends Carbax when the water smells or changes colour. In a Bioflow M/L/XL filter, place it in the upper section between the bioCarb sponge and Nitrax and replace it after about 2 months.
