JBL ProScan Smartphone Water Test

JBL ProScan is a freshwater test whose results are analysed with a smartphone.

It is meant for checking the water of freshwater aquariums and ponds.

The test measures total hardness, carbonate hardness, pH, nitrite, nitrate, chlorine and carbon dioxide content. The app shows the values as numbers and rates them as good, average or poor. The app also gives advice on improving the water in the aquarium and pond.

Download the free ProScan app, dip a test strip in the water, place it on the colour card and scan the card. Shake the water off the strip gently and horizontally, not vertically, and scan in even light, ideally daylight. Each strip is good for one measurement only. If the nitrite result is not 0, check it with the JBL ProAquaTest NO2 drop test, as according to the manufacturer nitrite is deadly to fish from 0.4 mg/l.

The set includes a colour card and 24 test strips.
