AquaEL SAS Filter 500

The AquaEL SAS Filter 500 is a surface filter that cleans the aquarium's water surface of dust, protein film and small plant debris. A bacterial film on the surface restricts gas exchange and light penetration and spoils the look of the aquarium.

The pump delivers 500 l/h at 4.4 W. With its flow control, the filter suits aquariums of 20–500 l with either a large or a small water surface. Water and surface dirt enter the filter through the float, and the dirt settles on a dense pre-filter sponge. This sponge also keeps shrimps and small fish out of the motor compartment.
The maintenance-free float follows changes in the water level, so the filter does not need daily adjustment. It attaches with a suction cup holder and is easy to fit and remove. Clean the pre-filter sponge regularly. The manufacturer especially recommends the filter for open tanks, after maintenance (such as pruning plants) and for aquariums with many fish.
