AquaEL Filter ULTRAMAX BT

The AquaEL Ultramax BT is the Ultramax external filter controlled from a phone or tablet over Bluetooth in the Aquael BT app. It suits freshwater and marine aquariums of 100–750 l: in a smaller tank you simply reduce the flow in the app.

In the app the power is adjusted smoothly in per cent, and there are four flow modes – constant, pulse, sine wave and intermittent. In Day&Night mode the filter runs slower at night, and at feeding times it reduces the flow gradually. According to the manufacturer, it delivers up to 2200 l/h and draws 6.1–13.5 W. Inside there are 5 baskets of 1.9 l each.

The lid has a 0.6-litre prefilter that can be rinsed without taking the filter out of the cabinet. When the hoses are disconnected, the double ball valves close both the filter and the hoses, and 2–4 strokes of the plunger fill it.

The set includes hoses, elbows, overflow pipes, a spray bar, 10, 20 and 30 ppi sponges, two filter cloths and BioCeraMAX 600.
