Rotala rotundifolia (also Rotala indica) is a South-East Asian stem plant with stems 15–30 cm long and 2–3 cm wide and long, narrow leaves. The Latin name means round-leaved, but that applies only to the marsh form with circular leaves. Unlike other Rotala it is relatively undemanding, but it needs good light to produce red leaves. On Tropica's difficulty scale it is an easy plant (Easy).

Full description
Rotala rotundifolia (also Rotala indica) is a South-East Asian stem plant with stems 15–30 cm long and 2–3 cm wide and long, narrow leaves. The Latin name means round-leaved, but that applies only to the marsh form with circular leaves.
Unlike other Rotala it is relatively undemanding, but it needs good light to produce red leaves. On Tropica's difficulty scale it is an easy plant (Easy).
According to Tropica, after two months in the aquarium the plant is on average 15–30 cm tall or more. The plant has a medium growth rate. Light demand is low. CO2 demand is low. The plant comes from Asia.
It forms side shoots willingly and becomes compact and bushy – which makes it hard for light to reach the lower leaves, so prune it often.
Available in a pot, in a pot in a blister pack and with a Plant Clip.
