Pogostemon deccanensis

Pogostemon deccanensis (formerly Pogostemon erectus) is an Indian stem plant that forms compact groups of bright green, conifer-like stems 15–40 cm tall and 1–3 cm wide.

It suits the background and makes a focal point in smaller and larger groups. On Tropica's difficulty scale it is a medium plant (Medium).

According to Tropica, after two months in the aquarium the plant is on average 15–30 cm tall or more. The plant has a medium growth rate. Light demand is medium. CO2 demand is medium. The plant comes from Asia.

Intense light helps it stay compact longer. Growth is moderate with vigorous roots; it needs frequent pruning, and cut shoots easily start growing when planted.

Available in a pot and in a 1-2 Grow cup.
