Full description

Limnophila aquatica is a South-East Asian stem plant with whorls of light green, finely branched leaves.

It is most decorative with several stems planted in a small group. On Tropica's difficulty scale it is a medium plant (Medium).

According to Tropica, after two months in the aquarium the plant is on average 20–30 cm tall or more. Light demand is medium. CO2 demand is low. The plant comes from Asia.

With added CO2 and a nutritious substrate it grows fast to 25–50 cm long, each stem up to 15 cm wide; in good light it forms horizontal side shoots and becomes bushy. In open aquariums it sometimes sends shoots above the surface with small blue flowers.

Available in a pot and in a 1-2 Grow cup.
