Echinodorus 'Red Diamond'
€8.99
Echinodorus 'Red Diamond' appeared in cultivation in Ukraine and is probably a cross of Echinodorus horemanii 'Red' and Echinodorus 'Barthii' – a plant with ruby-red, sword-shaped leaves 15–25 cm long. Unlike many Echinodorus it stays moderate in size (rosette 20–30 cm), so it suits a solitary place even in small aquariums. On Tropica's difficulty scale it is a medium plant (Medium).

According to Tropica, after two months in the aquarium the plant is on average 15–20 cm tall or more. The plant has a medium growth rate. Light demand is medium. CO2 demand is medium. It is a cultivar, a form bred in cultivation.
More nutrients in the substrate give more abundant growth, and good light promotes the ruby-red leaves.
The plant is sold in a pot.
