JBL CombiBloc Filter Foam Set for CristalProfi e

JBL CombiBloc CristalProfi e is a set of pre-filter pads and filter foams for the top basket of an external filter.

The set is made for JBL CristalProfi e external filters.

The filter foams have different pore densities, 20 ppi and 30 ppi. According to the manufacturer, JBL foams are tested for harmful substances and release none into the water. First colonisation of new filter media with bacteria takes about 1–2 weeks in freshwater and twice as long in seawater. Adding concentrated filter bacteria, for example JBL FilterStart, shortens this to about 24 hours.

For many months it is enough to rinse dirty foams under warm running water and seed them with filter bacteria (JBL FilterStart) before putting them back. Since mechanical cleaning never removes all the dirt, JBL recommends replacing the foams about every 6 months.

The set includes 4 pre-filter pads, a 20 ppi filter foam and a 30 ppi filter foam.
