Sea Salt is a laboratory-made marine salt for aquariums with fish, less demanding corals such as soft corals, and invertebrates. It also suits fish-only aquariums. The formula was developed from analyses of natural seawater so that it resembles the natural habitat as closely as possible. The salt dissolves easily, it is produced in the EU under laboratory supervision and every batch is analysed on two ICP-OES spectrometers.
Start with RO/DI water at about 24 °C. For a salinity of 30 ppt (SG 1.022), add about 345 g of salt to 10 l of water and stir vigorously for about 15 minutes until the salt has fully dissolved and the water is clear. Check the salinity with a refractometer before use.
