Aquaforest Reef Salt+ Marine Salt with Elevated Macroelements

Reef Salt+ is a marine salt for aquariums fully stocked with LPS and/or SPS corals. It has elevated levels of alkalinity, calcium and magnesium and a rich composition of trace elements. According to the maker, regular water changes with it supply micronutrients for coral growth and colouration and help keep the key elements in balance, so additional dosing can be reduced. Every batch is analysed on two ICP-OES spectrometers.

Start with RO/DI water at about 24 °C. For a salinity of 33 ppt (SG 1.025), add about 390 g of salt to 10 l of water and stir vigorously for about 15 minutes until the salt has fully dissolved and the water is clear. Check the salinity with a refractometer before use.

• Use the mixed water within 3 days and keep it in a tightly closed container, as evaporation changes the water parameters
• If the water stands for several days, check the salinity again
• Store the salt in a dry, dark place
• 5 kg and 22 kg buckets, the 22 kg also in a courier-ready carton
