Aquaforest PO4 Boost Phosphorus Fertiliser

Aquaforest PO4 Boost is a supplement of easily absorbed phosphorus for aquatic plants in freshwater aquariums. Phosphorus is an essential part of phospholipids and nucleic acids.

It is intended for planted aquariums. According to the manufacturer, plants need much more phosphorus in brightly lit aquariums fertilised with CO2.

The phosphate level recommended by the manufacturer is 0.5–1.5 mg/l. 10 ml in 100 l of water raises the phosphate level by 0.4 mg/l. The same dose also adds 0.72 mg/l of potassium and 0.9 mg/l of magnesium.

The manufacturer recommends using PO4 Boost together with AF Micro, AF N Boost and AF K Boost. According to the manufacturer, zeolite and carbon may reduce its effect. Keep the phosphate level under control, as an excess may lead to algae, especially red algae. Use it for aquarium purposes only and protect it from sunlight.
