AquaEL Sterilizer UV PS 2.0

The AquaEL Sterilizer UV PS 2.0 is a UV-C steriliser that improves the quality and clarity of garden pond water. It helps against green, cloudy water caused by algae, bacteria and pathogens multiplying, and reduces the need for chemical treatments.

There are three models – 7 W (up to 1500 l/h, pond with fish up to 3500 l, with koi up to 2000 l), 9 W (2500 l/h, 5000 l, with koi 2500 l) and 11 W (3500 l/h, 7500 l, with koi 3500 l). The UV-C lamp lasts up to 10 000 hours, and it sits under a quartz cover. According to the manufacturer, the device is safe for fish and for the nitrifying bacteria in the filter and the pond bottom.

A filter or pump has to push the water through the steriliser; it fits 1", 3/4" and 1/2" hoses and works both on the surface and fully submerged (IPX8). A mounting system is included and the power cable is 5 m long. Opening the lamp housing switches the UV-C lamp off automatically.
