YOKUCHI Gen Nano Fe Iron Liquid Iron Fertiliser 30 ml

YOKUCHI Gen Nano Fe Iron is a liquid iron fertiliser for aquarium plants.

It is made for planted aquariums where the plants need iron. According to the manufacturer, a lack of iron makes stems and leaves turn pale, and later black spots and holes appear on new leaves, first on fast-growing plants.

Iron is a trace element, and plants take it up as the Fe2+ ion. It is needed for chlorophyll synthesis, is part of some proteins and takes part in cellular respiration. The fertiliser is based on organic iron(II) compounds, which according to the manufacturer are stable and readily absorbed. The bottle holds 30 ml, enough for up to 3300 l of aquarium water.

Dose 1 drop per 5 l of water daily, preferably near the filter outlet. With many plants, increase the dose accordingly. It can be dosed with the lights on, but the manufacturer recommends dosing while the lights are off.
