Tropica recommends it as a solitary plant for large aquariums; its fragrant flowers can be fully enjoyed in open aquariums. On Tropica's difficulty scale it is a medium plant (Medium).

According to Tropica, after two months in the aquarium the plant is on average 20–30 cm tall or more. The plant has a medium growth rate. Light demand is medium. CO2 demand is low. The plant comes from Africa.

Before forming floating leaves it forms many underwater leaves. If you do not want floating leaves, prune the roots and leaves. A nutritious substrate encourages growth.
