€8.99
Glossostigma elatinoides is a carpeting plant from New Zealand much used in Japanese-style aquariums. It is one of the smallest aquarium plants (2–3 cm tall) and so a good foreground plant. Tropica calls it a difficult plant that needs a lot of light – in poor light it grows upwards. On Tropica's difficulty scale it is an advanced plant (Advanced).

According to Tropica, after two months in the aquarium the plant is on average 3–5 cm tall or more. Light demand is high. CO2 demand is high. The plant comes from Australia.
Plant small clumps (about 1/8 of a pot) a few centimetres apart so they grow together faster, and keep larger plants from shading them. Added CO2 and soft water promote growth.
The plant is sold in a 1-2 Grow cup.
