The genus Eriocaulon is adapted to soft water, but this species is more tolerant and thrives in medium-hard water. On Tropica's difficulty scale it is an advanced plant (Advanced).
According to Tropica, after two months in the aquarium the plant is on average 3–10 cm tall or more. The plant grows slowly. Light demand is high. CO2 demand is high. The plant is found all over the world.
It needs good light and CO2 to develop; soft water helps its health. It flowers readily in the aquarium – flowering drains its energy, but in the right conditions it grows again from the base after a while.
The plant is sold in a 1-2 Grow cup.
