Cryptocoryne parva from Sri Lanka is the smallest of all Cryptocoryne: only 3–6 cm tall with a rosette under 5–8 cm. It is one of the few species whose leaf shape and colour hardly change with conditions.
Tropica recommends it as a foreground plant. On Tropica's difficulty scale it is a medium plant (Medium).
According to Tropica, after two months in the aquarium the plant is on average 5–10 cm tall or more. The plant grows slowly. Light demand is medium. CO2 demand is low. The plant comes from Asia.
It needs more light than most Cryptocoryne and must never be shaded by other plants. Plant them a few centimetres apart – after about six months they form a cohesive low group; nutrition capsules in the substrate speed up development, according to the manufacturer.
Available in a pot and in a 1-2 Grow cup.
