Kruger Meier MonteVerde Active Aquarium Soil

Kruger Meier MonteVerde is an active aquarium soil made of black granules.

It is meant for planted, shrimp and fish aquariums, both small and large.

The granules are 2–4 mm, which makes planting easier and helps roots develop. The soil stabilises pH in the range 6.0–6.8 and keeps the water slightly acidic. It contains macro- and microelements that serve plants as a long-term nutrient source. The porous structure gives beneficial bacteria a large area to colonise. The 3 l, 6 l (2 × 3 l) and 9 l (3 × 3 l) packs suit aquariums of 15–45 l, 45–70 l and 70–100 l respectively.

Pour the soil straight into the aquarium in a layer of about 4–7 cm at the front and 8–10 cm at the back. Fill the tank slowly, directing the water onto a plate or mat, and do not mix MonteVerde with other substrates. The manufacturer recommends good filtration and regular water changes, while strong light and CO2 improve the result but are not required.
