YOKUCHI Ishiko Plant Mineral RO Water Mineraliser

YOKUCHI Ishiko Plant Mineral is a mineral mix for remineralising water from a reverse osmosis (RO) filter.

It is made for aquariums run on RO water and suits aquarium plants and most tropical fish.

According to the manufacturer, the right concentration of calcium, magnesium and potassium in the water matters for plants to take up nutrients. The mix contains elements in readily absorbed forms and very little sulphate and chloride. It dissolves well and causes minimal cloudiness in the tank. It comes in 75 g and 450 g packs.

From the 75 g pack, add 1 level small spoon, about 0.8 g, per 10 l of RO water, or 0.75 g by weight. From the 450 g pack, add 1 level scoop, about 8 g, per 100 l of RO water, or 7.5 g by weight. This dose raises general hardness by about 2 °dH. Use it together with Gen BG at 1 ml per 50 l of RO water or Gen Nano BG at 1 drop per 2.5 l.
