The Twinstar Reactor M9 is the replaceable reactor of a Twinstar steriliser – the part that sits in the water and through which the unit works.
It fits the Twinstar Nano+ and Yotta+; the M3, M5, S3, S5, Shrimp30 and Shrimp50 use the Reactor M5, the Nano, Yotta and Shrimp the Reactor M7.
The reactor is made of titanium mesh with a special platinum coating. In a clean, dust-free aquarium it lasts 6–12 months, according to the manufacturer.
Place the reactor about 10 cm below the filter outlet. The reactor is polarised, so substrate dust and dirty water can stick to the electrode surface and shorten its life.
