Tropica CO2 System Nano

Tropica CO2 System Nano is a complete CO2 system for precise CO2 dosing in small aquariums.

According to the manufacturer, adding CO2 benefits the growth of all plants and improves their colour.

The cartridge holds 95 g of pressurised CO2, about 50 000 ml of gas. According to Tropica, the natural CO2 level in an aquarium is 0–0.5 mg/l. Easy plants need about 3 mg/l, Medium plants about 10 mg/l and Advanced plants about 25 mg/l. In a larger aquarium with Medium or Advanced plants a nano cartridge runs out too quickly, and the manufacturer suggests a bigger cylinder, for example a 2 kg one.

Before you begin, turn the regulator off, mount it on the cartridge (protect your hands with a towel) and fill the diffuser chamber with water. Fix the diffuser to the glass near the bottom, leave it in the water for 24 hours, then open the regulator carefully and count the bubbles per minute.

In the box:

• aluminium cartridge with 95 g CO2
• regulator
• 3-in-1 diffuser
• cartridge rack, hose and suction cups
