JBL Sansibar Red fine sand 0.2-0.6 mm 10 kg

JBL Sansibar Red is a natural, fine red substrate for freshwater and marine aquariums and aqua-terrariums.

The rounded, delicate grains suit bottom-dwelling fish such as corydoras as well as shrimps and other invertebrates, as the fine sand is gentle on the fishes' sensitive barbels.

The grain size is 0.2–0.6 mm and the pack holds 10 kg of substrate. According to the manufacturer it releases no harmful substances into the water and does not change the water parameters. It supports the growth of aquarium plants and can be used together with a nutrient substrate. Thanks to its structure, dirt does not build up in it in excess.

Rinse the substrate thoroughly with tap water before use to remove fine dust. If you wish, put a nutrient substrate on the aquarium floor and spread the sand over it in a layer of about 6–8 cm. Then plant, place the decorations and fill the aquarium slowly so the substrate is not stirred up.
