JBL ProClean Aqua In-Out Water Change Pump

JBL ProClean Aqua In-Out is a tap-connected pump for aquarium water changes.

It is made for regular partial water changes, which JBL recommends every 2 weeks at about 1/3 of the water, cleaning the substrate at the same time.

The pump fits the tap with a 3/4" connection and takes a standard 12/16 mm hose. Flowing tap water creates suction that draws the water out of the aquarium through the hose. A lever selects whether water is drained or refilled.

Screw the pump onto the tap, connect the long hose to the pump and the other end to a gravel cleaner, then hang the gravel cleaner in the aquarium. Open the shut-off valve on the pump, open the tap fully and clean the bottom with the gravel cleaner while the water drains. To refill, close the valve and let fresh water flow into the aquarium. Treat the new tap water with a water conditioner, for example JBL Biotopol.

The set includes a jet pump with shut-off valve, a sealing ring and a swivel hose connector with locking nut.
