The CO2Art Inline CO2 Diffuser is a CO2 diffuser that fits on the outlet hose of an external filter and dissolves CO2 into the water before it reaches the aquarium.
It comes in two sizes, for 12/16 mm and 16/22 mm filter hose, so choose it by the hose of your filter.
The ceramic membrane sits in a crack-resistant metal body and can be replaced. Replacement membranes are sold separately for each size, with four o-rings. The diffuser needs a working pressure of at least 30 PSI, about 2 bar.
Do not use silicone tubing – the CO2 tubing must be acid-resistant and rated for high working pressure. Fill the bubble counter with water only, because bubble counter fluids and oils contaminate the diffuser. The manufacturer advises fitting the check valve right under the bubble counter or the diffuser. To clean it, soak the diffuser for several hours in a solution of 3 parts water to 1 part bleach, then rinse the chlorine off with water.
