Aquaforest Minus pH is a conditioner for lowering the pH of aquarium water. The manufacturer intends it for freshwater aquariums.
It is aimed above all at fish species from the Amazon that prefer slightly acidic water. According to the manufacturer, the water of the Amazon has a pH of 5.5–6.5, so for some species tap water needs its pH lowered.
Minus pH contains no phosphate. According to the manufacturer, 1 ml of the product per 1 litre of water lowers the pH by 0.2, so the change can be calculated in advance.
Because of the possibility of overdose, the manufacturer does not recommend dosing it directly into the aquarium. Prepare it outside the tank in the water intended for the water change, check the pH first and add the product only until the desired value is reached. Do not lower the pH of the aquarium water by more than 0.5 per day.
Available in 250 ml, 500 ml and 2000 ml packs.
