Terrario Peak Wilderness Fine Beech Chip Substrate

Terrario Peak Wilderness is a terrarium floor substrate of fine beech chips.

The manufacturer recommends it for tree frogs such as Hyla cinerea, tropical geckos such as Correlophus ciliatus, all arachnids such as Davus fasciatus, chameleons such as Chamaeleo calyptratus and all snakes such as Pantherophis guttatus.

The chips are 2–8 mm in size. The fine fraction spreads evenly over the terrarium floor. Natural beech chips give the layout a forest look and go well with roots, stones and plants. Soiled chips can be removed as needed and replaced with fresh ones. Available as a 5 l bag and as 10 l (2 × 5 l) and 15 l (3 × 5 l) sets.

Spread the chips in an even layer on a clean, dry floor and choose the depth to suit the species and size of the animal. Chips are not suitable for every reptile, so check the species' requirements first. From time to time replace all of the substrate and clean the terrarium.
