Terrario Hiyare Wilderness Large Beech and Alder Chips Substrate

Terrario Hiyare Wilderness is a natural terrarium floor substrate of large beech and alder chips.

The manufacturer recommends it for reptiles, amphibians and mammals in any type of terrarium and in jar forests. The chips suit both small and very large reptiles.

The fraction is larger than that of standard wood chips. The large, irregular pieces create a surface that resembles the forest floor. Beech and alder wood suits naturalistic layouts together with roots, branches, stones and plants. The chips are packed in bags of no more than 5 l, so they come as a 5 l bag and as 10 l (2 × 5 l) and 15 l (3 × 5 l) sets.

Choose the substrate to suit the species, as the large fraction is not right for every reptile or amphibian. For animals that take food straight from the ground, use a feeding dish or a separate feeding spot. Check humidity and ventilation regularly and remove soiled pieces straight away.
