The Chihiros Double Tap is a double shut-off valve for canister filter hoses that is fitted into the hose.
With its two valves the water flow stops in seconds, and the hoses can be disconnected for filter cleaning or maintenance without spilling water.
Two sizes are available – for 12/16 mm hose (12 mm inner, 16 mm outer diameter) and for 16/22 mm hose. The body is corrosion-resistant ABS plastic. Built-in rubber O-rings seal the connection. The valve can be reused.
Cut the hose and connect both ends to the valve – no tools are needed to fit or take it apart. Close both valves before disconnecting the filter.
