Chihiros Double Tap 12/16 to 16/22 Reducing Hose Valve

The Chihiros Double Tap 12/16 to 16/22 is a double shut-off valve for canister filter hoses that also works as a reducer between two hose sizes.

It suits an aquarium with an external filter that has 12/16 mm hose on one side and 16/22 mm hose on the other.

With its two valves the water flow stops in a few seconds, and the hoses can be disconnected for cleaning without dripping, spilling or water running back into the aquarium. The body is made of corrosion-resistant ABS plastic. Rubber seals keep the connection tight. The valve can be reused.

Connect the narrower 12 mm hose to one end of the valve and the wider 16 mm hose to the other – no tools are needed to fit or remove it. Close both valves before disconnecting the hoses.
