Aquaforest Iodum Iodine Supplement

Aquaforest Iodum is a concentrated iodine supplement for marine aquariums. Iodine is important for general cell functioning and for the transfer of nutrients between cells. Tank inhabitants use it up constantly, so without supplementation its level drops quickly. Corals use iodine to build pigments that help them adapt to changing light and protect their delicate tissue from UV radiation. According to the maker, iodine intensifies the dark blue and purple colours of hard corals. A suitable iodine level also supports shrimp moulting, and regular dosing keeps it at the level of natural seawater.

Dose 1 drop per 100 l of water daily; 1 drop raises iodine in 100 l of water by 0.01 ppm. The recommended iodine level in a reef aquarium is about 0.06 ppm. For aquarium use only, not for human consumption. Keep out of reach of children.
