Aquaforest Fluorine Fluoride Supplement 50 ml

Aquaforest Fluorine is a concentrated fluoride supplement for reef aquariums. Fluorine is one of the micronutrients of seawater. In a closed system the protein skimmer and filter media remove it from the water, so it has to be replenished. Fluorine takes part in calcification and is a building material of coral skeletons. According to the maker, balanced dosing strengthens the blue and white colouration of SPS corals and brings out the fluorescence of most corals. The solution also contains traces of potassium and iodine.

Dose 1 drop per 100 l of water daily. 1 ml (about 15 drops) in 100 l of water raises fluorine by 0.06 ppm and iodine by 0.015 mg/l. The recommended fluorine level in a marine aquarium is 1.3 mg/l. Every aquarium is different, so the dose depends on the coral stock and its needs.
