AquaEL Pad Under Aquarium

The AquaEL Pad Under Aquarium is a mat of thick, damage-resistant foam that goes under the aquarium. It protects the fragile tank bottom from damage and cracking, which matters most for large, heavy aquariums.

The mat also protects the furniture from scratches that a glass aquarium or terrarium bottom can cause. Its dark colour makes it almost invisible under the tank. According to the manufacturer, it reduces heat loss through the bottom and so the energy needed to heat the water.

Choose the mat by the size of the aquarium base – 41 × 25, 60 × 30, 80 × 35 and 120 × 40 cm are available, matching the standard tank bottoms of AquaEL and most other makers.
