What is a two-part magnetic cave for?

Terrarium decor is not only about looks. An animal with nowhere to hide is under constant stress, eats worse and falls ill more easily. Caves, ledges and vines divide the space, provide cover and let the animal move the way its species is used to in the wild.
Choose at least two hides, one at the warm end and one at the cool end, so the animal does not have to pick between feeling safe and the right temperature. The lid of a two-part magnetic cave lifts off, so you can check the animal without disturbing it. A hammock suits species that like to lie and bask.
For safety, make sure openings and gaps are either large enough or too narrow for the animal to get stuck in. Check edges and surfaces before installing, and clean the decor when you change the substrate.
