The Repti-Zoo Artificial Plant with Ceramic Base is an artificial plant modelled on real plants, set in a heavy ceramic base, for decorating aquariums and terrariums.
It gives fish, reptiles and amphibians a refuge to hide in when stressed or overheated and to rest; some reptiles, amphibians and rodents wait out the day in just such a sheltered spot.
The choices are tropical fern, Alternanthera colorata, Dracaena marginata, Pilea and Anthurium. The plants are 20–33 cm tall, depending on the type. The heavy ceramic base keeps the plant upright and stops it tipping over. The plant is waterproof and withstands very high temperatures. The smooth plastic is easy to clean.
The base can be buried in the substrate or left on top, as it looks like a natural rock.
