Ocean Nutrition Brine Shrimp Eggs are artemia cysts for hatching live brine shrimp – food of a suitable size and good nutritional value for fry and small fish in freshwater and marine aquariums. The manufacturer states a hatch rate of over 90%, and the Nitro Pack packaging keeps the cysts fresh.

• Hatching water: 25–35 g of sea salt (about 1 tablespoon) per litre, tap water can be used; with table salt, add about 3 g (1 teaspoon) of sodium bicarbonate
• Amount: about 2 g of cysts per litre
• Vessel: cone-shaped, tip pointing down, with an air pump running; the air tube should reach the bottom for vigorous, even mixing (an airstone is not recommended)
• Temperature: 26–29 °C during incubation, do not exceed 30 °C
• Hatching time: 18–30 hours
• Harvesting: after 24 hours stop the aeration and wait 10 minutes – the nauplii settle on the bottom and empty shells float; pour the nauplii through a net and rinse gently with tap water before feeding
