Dosing by hand takes discipline: one forgotten day or a double dose shifts the water parameters. A dosing pump takes over the job and adds liquid fertilisers or supplements in precise amounts at the same time every day. It suits a densely planted tank as well as a reef, where corals consume elements constantly.
The range includes dosing pumps, among them a model with Wi-Fi and an app, plus accessories: dosing bottles, a stainless steel bottle holder, coloured silicone tubing and an adapter that feeds the solution into the filter hose. The holder keeps containers upright and tidy, and the adapter helps fertiliser spread through the whole tank quickly.
Fix the tube ends above the water line so aquarium water cannot siphon back into the bottles. Check from time to time that the level in the bottles falls as expected, and replace tubing that becomes stiff or blocked.
