Repti-Zoo Turtle Floating Bark S Floating Turtle Island

The Repti-Zoo Turtle Floating Bark S is a bark-shaped floating island where aquatic and semi-aquatic turtles, amphibians and crabs can climb out of the water and rest.

It suits aquariums where the animal needs a dry resting spot between swims.

The island measures 21.5 × 15 × 6 cm. The whole bark surface is strongly textured, so the animal climbs on easily. The highly buoyant material keeps it afloat even under load. The flat, wide shape with a side branch stops it tipping over. A knot in the bark serves as a food bowl, for example for gammarus.

The island drifts freely; if needed, drill a hole and tie it to a suction cup with fishing line or nylon thread. It always sits partly under water, which makes climbing on easier, and the small vent holes are needed for it to work.
