Repti-Zoo Carpet Mat Terrarium Substrate Mat

The Repti-Zoo Carpet Mat is a natural-fibre terrarium mat that can be used as the only floor covering or as a base layer under loose substrate.

It suits all desert and tropical reptiles and amphibians, in desert and tropical terrariums as well as aquaterrariums. It is not suitable for rodents.

Mats are made for terrarium bases of 20 × 20, 20 × 30, 30 × 30, 50 × 30, 45 × 45 and 60 × 45 cm. The two larger mats measure 43 × 42.5 cm and 57.5 × 43 cm and fit Repti-Zoo terrariums with the same base. The mat absorbs moisture and urine, keeps the terrarium clean and helps maintain the right humidity. It has a neutral pH, does not dust or crumble and withstands very high temperatures. The mat can be cut to fit any terrarium.

Lay the mat on the terrarium floor; if you like, cover it with bark, wood chips or another substrate. When it is heavily soiled, rinse it under running water – there is no need to replace it.
